Located at the extreme south of the city, Nariman Point is the primary business centre of Mumbai. The name of this place came from a Parsee called Khursheed Framji Nariman. It is the centre point of the old Parsi settlement in the country. A long time ago, the area that is now Nariman Point was under the Arabian Sea. Khurshed Nariman made a proposal to create the area by recycling waste by putting it into the sea creating a sort of a barrier. That is how Nariman Point came into existence.
