Oval Maidan Ground, Mumbai Reviews
One of the iconic places which represents the heritage of Bombay that is current days Mumbai. It is huge ground with beautiful views of Rajabai Towers, University Road, City Civil Court and other government buildings which were built during the British Era. One of the best place to play cricket or football. Located near Churchgate station.
Best ground for cricket lovers from all over Mumbai. Young, upcoming and established cricketers come here to practice and play matches. It is a historical ground and helps in culture and environment. I call it a important supply line for Mumbai cricket. Many famous cricketers have practiced and played cricket here
The ground is open. There are many stalls and the street food available is very hygenic. Public urinals are unfortunately not clean. Driving a car to the location in the afternoon will be an issue as there are occasional traffic jams and free parking spots are difficult to find. There is a pay and park facility available just before the entrance of the ground and its is the last option if you do not find a free spot. If you are playing a cricket match there, it is advised that you purchase mineral water and do not drink water from the tents due to hygenic issues.
A large and spacious park perfect for the cricket and football matches that are held here. Also a good place for your free evenings- taking a stroll around it’s perimeter can be a pleasant experience. One can laze around in the grass too; provided that the players haven’t already captured the place for their matches! Commuters use the path in the middle as a shortcut for going across the road. Gotta watch out though; a cricket ball may come flying in and hit you if you’re too busy on your phone ;)
Cricket lovers can't miss this ground to play... It's perfect place for cricket lovers... And they are also clubs who give cricket coaching so definitely one of the finest cricket public ground in south Mumbai, it is exactly near Churchgate station, next to Eros theatre...
