Munich is full of beautiful churches that have a distinct architecture of their own. As you go towards the north of Marienplatz, you will come across this beautiful church building that absolutely invites you with its stunning facade. Originally meant to be the “citizens hall” where people would congregate for catholic prayer, this church still exhibits a baroque facade that looks ravishing. Designed by Giovanni Antonio Viscardi between 1709-1710, this church is an absolute visit for its numerous statues that are set in the alcoves. Although the building suffered a lot of mutilation during the World Wars, it still preserves its original architecture and facade.
