Santa Clara Monastery & Museum is a popular attraction on Murcia with an interesting history to it built in 1172. In 1243 the place was occupied by the Christian kings. The museum which is located in the monastery is rich with religious art and archeological remains. Santa Clara Monastery & Museum has two sections and the upper section comprises of statues of virgins, saints, the Christ child and other Catholic statuary. The museum also has paintings, documents sculptures and altarpieces from the 16th century. There is no admission fee and a visit to the museum is completely worth it.

  • Interesting place which displays rich cultural heritage of this place! Admission is free and reception desk people speak English which makes it easier to visit. Place is mostly accessible for people who have some difficulties with walking.

  • Free entrance, nice little place. Beautifully and tastefully restored. Would be helpful if the big texts were also available in other languages than Spanish, as is done for the items
