Itanki Beach is a fascinating place in Muroran. It was known as Hawano-tata in the past which roughly translates to ‘sounding beach with a voice’. Aptly named, the sand on the beach makes a friction sound. From barbequing to water activities, people come here to enjoy a number of experiences. The coastline in clean and water is spectacularly blue. Taking a walk here is sure to soothe you. But keep in mind that the sand makes sound only when the weather conditions are ideal.
