Bimmah Sinkhole is a stunning crater that holds clear turquoise water. This natural pool of emerald colored water is a favorite amongst tourists. Although the geologists have proved that this 20 m deep cavernous pool was formed due to erosion of the underlying limestone, locals believe that it was formed due to ‘Hawaiyat Najm', that is ‘the falling star’. To ease tourists’ way down to the water, the local municipality has built stairs that take you right to the bottom of the pit. You can swim in the pool or just dip your legs and get a natural fish pedicure. The clear waters of the cavern is what makes it scenic and postcard perfect. You can just sit by and let the tranquility of the place sink in, washing away all your stress. The locals have built a small park that includes palm trees and picnic tables to make your visit to the place more enjoyable.
