Riyam Park Monument is often termed as the giant incense burner due to its structure which is in the shape of a gigantic cup on a hill top overlooking Mutrah corniche. The incense burner of Riyam Memorial was built on 20th national day of Oman and it looks magical while it is illuminated during evening. This park is in the path of popular hike which connects Muscat with Mutrah. Amusement rides can be availed at a reasonable price and there are also shaded picnic areas and swings. Riyam Park Monument overlooks the old city, the sea and the surrounding gardens.
