  • My wife and I drove down Sunday night and got a side room but wasn't happy so they moved us to an ocean front room at no extra charge. The rates were great and it was pet friendly which was good for us! There are a few things that need to be upgraded however bed bugs and roaches we did not see. We travel alot for work so we know what to look for and didn't see any creepy crawlies. I will say the landscaping was great and the view was awesome! If you are looking for a high class hotel with a pet good luck. The staff was very nice and we actually felt sorry for them as we went to get a few sheets and towels and they were working in a hot laundry room with just a fan for cool air. My wife and I grew up at this beach and it still brings us great memories! It's not the nice things in life that always bring you Joy it's love and respect for people who work hard for a living and are grateful for what God gives us! We enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to anyone who can enjoy the not so good with the good things God allows us to have! The Hunt's😎

  • So I booked this vacation without reading the reviews, after booking I looked at the reviews and was absolutely terrified that I made the wrong decision choosing this hotel. Upon arrival I had booked a double bed room for me and a friend of mine, expecting a roll-out bed, for the cost. Upon arrival I inspected the room for all of the complaints that I had read after the fact, regarding bed bugs, cockroaches, etc. which all turned up negative after a tedious inspection. I called the front desk from the phone in the room, asking about a roll-out bed. The guy at the front desk replied, "we do not carry roll-out beds, however I will attempt to accomadate you and your guests". After about an hour we went down to check on the progress and he issued us another room with two double beds, which we were weary about due to the complaints of infestation. After yet another inspection, it was all negative. The upgraded room came equipped with a full size refrigerator and a flat glass top stove, with more than efficient space, cool a/c, and bug free with a better view. Other complaints stated that the hotel/motel was outdated, which it is, but with the price of the accommodations, I feel is more than reasonable. This is only the first day of our vacation, but for the price, I would recommend this facility without a doubt.

  • Check in went fine, parking is scarce, and after a 6.5 hr drive all I wanted was a shower. Our shower was filthy, there was hair and a dirty rag in the shower. I cleaned the shower because it was after 1 am and I was exhausted with 2 kids already laying down. I wouldn't suggest walking on the carpet without shoes. Our last night, we did have a roach crawling on the wall. (I was scared to go to sleep) I overheard some others say they found a roach in their room as well while we were at the pool. I gave it 2 stars because the beach access is so close, and my kids loved the lazy river. The pool was clean, so it wasn't a terrible stay.

  • I ended up on crutches days before our vacation and they were insanely nice about my concerns about access. The pool is clean, the lazy river is kept nice and warm, and the hot tub feels sooo nice. Plus the staff is so kind and polite. This isn't a five star spa resort, but it's clean, comfortable, and not even a two minute walk from the beach that's a perfect place if you want to support the smaller hotels in the area instead of the big corporate ones. Plus the free DVDs are nice!

  • This is THE WORST experience we have ever had in all the years coming to myrtle beach. We got to the room late and checked in. The front desk directed us to some parking... 2 streets down beside a sketchy motel. So after lugging 2 small children and luggage 2 blocks, because they had allowed people to park in the loading zones, we get to the room 1 hr later. The room was disgusting. The carpet was wet and covered in black mold, the ceiling of the shower had a big hole in it, mold on the ceilings, everything was sticky, there was trash left in the rooms, and it STUNK. On top of that it was so hot and with 2 a.c. units, neither worked. I went to complain and they said they couldn't fix the a.c. that they needed to completely rewire. So why then would they rent the room? ESPECIALLY when they knew I had 2 infants staying with me!! I would not let my babies touch anything in there. That's asking to get sick! They gave me my money back and we found somewhere else to stay. They never apologized, never offered another room, or to fix the a.c. and they were rude and sent employees up to our room and kept asking us if we hadn't left yet while we were trying to get our things out... did I mention we parked blocks away and have 2 babies to carry? Give it a break man. Never stay here.
