If you are in Namchi for holy visit, you cannot give a miss to this famous holy place, Char Dham. Spread over the Solophuk hilltop, this holy place is visible from a distance because of the 33 meters high Lord Shiva statue, towering over Dham. According to the locals, Char Dham is said to be one of the important holy destinations for Hindu pilgrimages. Legend says, during Kurukshetra war, Arjuna worshipped Lord Shiva on this mountain. Being pleased by his prayers, Lord Shiva appeared in a form of a hunter and blessed him. This ultimately led to the win of Pandavas over Kauravas in the war.

The statue of Lord Shiva signifies his presence over this mountain.

  • A very nice place to visit. Calm down and have a religious feeling. Do visit. You will feel good

  • This place is quite big and clean. Many tourists came this place throughout year. Many famous temple replica present here. They very much try to copy original one but not satisfactory for me. Restaurants offer veg only. Some small shop in stand area offer non-veg. In my opinion this place is optional tourist spot. This place take 2-3 hr from Gangtok and no other tourist spot in way. So if you have time then go this place.

  • It's a lovely place.... Great opportunity to see 4 Dham at a time... Big area... Nice atmosphere

  • Beautiful place and charming view of hills.... Fresh air, mind changing area... Near restaurant available also .......👍👍👍

  • The best place to visit if you are in Sikkim apart from the regulars. This place has its own charm and those who come here will cherish the visit, the shiva statue and the temples for life.
