This institution was founded way back in 1793, and since then has become an important exhibition space. Practically all major European art movements from the 14th to the 21st centuries are represented within these halls, and the works of many masters. These include paintings, drawings, engravings, sculptures, glassworks. There is also a beautiful collection of crystals that trace 100 years of glassmaking history in Nancy.

Musee Des Beaux-arts, Nancy Reviews - Write a Review
Pieces by major artists are scattered throughout this large collection. Some beautiful interior architecture. Great introduction to Nancy Artists, especially Émile Friant. The ticket also gives entry to the special exhibition. Don't miss the breathtaking display of Daum glass in the basement. And most importantly, the museum is open on Monday, when many other attractions and shops are shut.
Quite a disappointment. We expected more out of the guide. Nice Kupka. Beautiful stairs to the 1st floor.
One of the great collections of France. Stunning art pieces. Also great glass exhibit by Daum.
Love it. Huge collection of different kinds of art: painting, glass, sculpture.
#1 museum in Lorraine Most masterpieces are from local artists who became World reknown (Jean Prouvé, L'Ecole de Nancy, Daum, Gallé, Friant...). Stunning Daum collection.
