On the ground floor, with 57 aquariums containing 600 animals ranging from the small to the huge covering the aquatic life of the tropical waters of the Red Sea, the Amazon River and Lake Tanganyika, this museum makes for a very educational tour. One of their special exhibits is of electric fish. They even have coral from the Red Sea, Caribbean Sea and the Indo-Pacific ocean.

On the first floor, you have a wonderful Natural History Collection of 549 specimens. This collection was born in 1752, and has since then evolved into a wonderfully educational exhibit that follows the trail of evolution.

  • Great activity when travelling with kids. We were 2 adults and 1 child, paid €10 entrance total! Lovely little collection of fish in the aquariums and a small taxidermy collection upstairs Kept us busy for 1.5hrs.

  • Amazing place to wake your inner child. Lots of different live fishes and other stuffed animals. Definitely a must-see!

  • Not a huge aquarium (downstairs) and museum (upstairs) but interesting and well-managed and kids-friendly. Go in the early morning in the summer if you wanna avoid nursery trips lol (Not all informations are in English) There is a beautiful garden outside too i especially loved the black / dark coloured flowers l

  • When I was here with my GF there was a very long row. Ashame that there was only one employee behind the desk. We waited half an hour to get in. But after that it is worth your money.

  • Perfect spot during a hot or bad weather day. Very interesting and definitely big fun for kids!
