This museum is devoted to showcasing information related to the Taiping Rebellion (1851-864). This was a civil war against the ruling Qing dynasty and, today, is regarded to be an inspiration against the corrupt monarchy system.

Located in the famous Zhan Yuan Gardens, the outside structure of the museum is exquisitely designed.

Inside the museum, one will find artifacts from the rebellion including Taiping currency, weapons, uniforms, and documents about the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom ideology, which was based upon Confucius' writings.
