One of the finest buildings of ancient period in China is Yuejianglou Scenic Spot (West Gate) from which you can understand the history of Ming dynasty. The king Zhu Yuanzhang wished to build it near the banks of Chiang Jiang, but he could not construct it there. After completion, this tower of 52 meter has been decorated with the portrait and description about the kings of Ming dynasty and various idols. You can see the tomb of Hongwu, the famous king of Ming dynasty, natural view of the river and the great Ming dynasty City walls from Yuejianglou Scenic Spot (West Gate).
