By Air: Nanning Wuxu International Airport, located about 30kms away from the town has more than 20 domestic and international flights towards cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Bangkok, Hanoi, Hong Kong, etc. You can reach the city from the airport through taxis and special shuttlebuses.
By Train: The railway station near the city centre, is a juncture for many inland railways. It has trains to many Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Chengdu, Kunming, Zhangjiajie. There are services to several provinces and their cities, like Hunan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Jiangxi, Guilin, Beihai and Fangchenggang. An international service runs between Nanning and Dongdang in Vietnam.
By Bus: Longdang and Jiagnan are two major bus stations in Nanning that has buses towards many neighbouring areas and other cities. There are also international buses that crosses the border towards Hanoi in Vietnam.
By Car: China National highway 210 connects Nanning from Baotau in Inner Mongolia, running through cities like Yulin, Xian, Chongqing, Longli, Du’an and Mashan.
HOW TO GET AROUND NANNING
By Bus: The city has a comprehensive bus system that connects the city very well. You can get around anywhere with about 1-2 Yuan per trip.
By Car: Cars can be rented in the city for about 400-600 Yuan per day.
By Taxi: The city has more than 3700 active taxis operated by 9 companies that can get you to various sightseeing places in and around the city. The minimum fare for the first two kilometres is about 7 Yuan.
