There is a lot of history attached to Del Dotto Vineyards and winery. It was in 1885 that this cave and winery sprang up when Chinese labourers dug a 350-foot wine cave with the help of just picks and shovels. Today, this winery enjoys the status of being one of the first wineries to appear in the Napa Valley, and is currently one of only six that still exist here. This winery’s claim to fame came along with Dave and Yolanda Del Dotto in 1997 when they restored the original winery and kept red wines to mature here. This place is thus a symbol of tradition rather than just a winery.
