Domaine Carneros Reviews & Ratings

  • Domaine Carneros exceeded my expectations. It's definitely a different vibe than other wineries in the area and that's not a bad thing - change is good! This location is very grand, but yet, welcoming. You do have to make a reservation for tastings, which at first seems annoying, but it's also a classy experience. Sherry was our Tasting guide and she was amazing. So friendly, approachable, informative, and gracious. We enjoyed our flights of wine, the cheese board and even had our first experience with caviar. We figured "when in Rome", so Sherry guided us through that process and how to properly eat caviar, which type would be the best introduction to caviar and whatnot. Sounds silly, but you have to start somewhere and Sherry was the right person to have that first experience with. We had a beautiful view of the vineyards and rolling hills, from our terrace seating. The wine, both reds and sparking, were outstanding. The weather, the view, and the experience was hands down our favorite while visiting Napa. We enjoyed our other winery experiences, but this one was definitely memorable for us and we loved the wine so much that we became members and have started our wine club! Excited for it. Thanks again to Sherry for going above and beyond for us and Domaine Carneros for providing a unique and classy experience we will never forget.

  • Wonderful winery in Napa. Had a wonderful experience trying a variety of their wines and cheese board. Experienced and super friendly staff and definitely some tasty wines. The Leblanc Leblanc was a one of my favorites from the list. This is one winery you should put on your list. Beautiful landscape and views from around the entire property. I would love to return to try more.

  • This place is gorgeous. As soon as you drive into the road, you are wowed with the beautiful look of a mansion overseeing a vineyard. The sparkling sample and Chateau samples were amazing. My boyfriend and I also ordered the sparkling wine cheese platter ($20) and it tasted great, but 2 people really can’t finish that with the tasting sizes. The samples are 2oz samples of extremely good wine (you know it when there’s no headache) and to become a club member you don’t pay yearly, you just buy 2-8 bottles of wine at a time. The wine bottles vary between $32-200 each. The samples were delicious and come with explanations of what they are and what they’re made of. We didn’t realize that there were different packages, but typically you expect a tour and we didn’t get that package. We paid $35 per person for the regular tasting and they sat us at a table overlooking the vineyard and our server brought us our wine samples and cheese. I was a bit disappointed that I didn’t take a tour or learn about how to make wine, but it was still a beautiful experience. The place is perfect for pictures and for a group of people. The customer service is superb. I highly recommend coming here!

  • Cool place, much less formal than the others in the area and a great view. It was a bit hectic inside but wines were good at reasonable prices. We shipped a case home as a group and all were pleased!

  • What a view! What an atmosphere! What wonderful sparkling wines! When you think Napa, Domaine Carneros comes to mind. The facilities are gorgeous, the service is excellent, and the wines are exceedingly delicious. It's a must-do.
