When seven centuries worth of royalty and religious leaders, not to mention the nobles and the populace, all contribute to a treasure, it’s bound to be one of the biggest in the world. For sheer monetary value the jewels, the artworks, the decorative pieces, the busts, the sacristies, and the frescoes here are supposed to be more precious than the treasures of the British or Russian royalties. Matteo Treglia's jewel studded mitre is the main attraction of the collection.

Museo Del Tesoro Di San Gennaro, Naples Reviews - Write a Review
I'm a local, living in a little town distant a few km from Naples and this Musem. I'm 44 years old and i did feel ashamed for viewing such a beauty only after so much time. The treasure keeped in this Museum is amazing and San Gennaro is one of the most iconic figure of Naples. After my visit i started to understand better why. I suggest to visist the museum with a guide, for me maked a huge difference. Without a guide, may be you don't fully understand the meaning of the exposed masterpieces that melt with the mystery and glory of this Saint.
Small museum represents to your attention mostly artifacts of sacred art.
