The Theatre is one of the most spectacular you will see. Established by King Charles of Burbon, interiors of the palatial theater are in one word: Stunning!
Although the original was destroyed the reconstructed version is what we see today. It is equally striking and has seen several famous artist perform here over the years. The interiors are decorated in red and gold and the place is huge. The theatre is now well equipped with the state of the art equipment and the acoustics are excellent and best experienced during a performance.

Teatro San Carlo, Naples Reviews - Write a Review
We attended the lyrical Opera of "Fidelio" in this amazing venue. From box seats, the view was amazing! The feeling of the marble stair cases, the velvet drapes, the rich textures, all add to the experience of the venue and the show itself. This place should be in your to do list and hopefully you'll be in town during the season for Opera.
We bought tickets for our anniversary to see Carmen. The box seats we were given resulted in us not being able to see ANYTHING. This is not an exaggeration, from our seats, we could not see any part of the stage or orchestra pit. We went back to the box office to see if we could exchange / upgrade but were told that we would have to buy new tickets and no refund would be given. The venue itself was absolutely lovely, but ask very clearly if you will be able to see the stage before purchasing a ticket - this was 90€ wasted.
Very nice theatre. Visitors should go on their mini fabulous tour in the theatre. Check for their schedules
Just one of the gems luckily left to the Neapolitan people by the glorious Bourbon di nasty during the Kingdom of Napoli and of the Two Sicilies. It is the oldest continuously active venue for public opera in the world, opening in 1737, decades before the Milan's La Scala and even if you are not an opera fun, a visit is a must, and you will not be disappointed (the tour guides are just great, and speak several languages).
Oldest concert house in Europe Wonderful theatre. Both to visit and to listen to a concert. Magnificent concert hall with a great acoustic. It is Reccomended to get a box on the upper floors of the hall, for 5 euro per person more, and therefore get a better view. Guided tours are often, but can get very crowded, and annoying, since other people talk, which can be heard very loudly. Great tour and concert. Reccomended.
