Many of us pet parrots at home and do not even know the basic nature of these cute birds. Parrots are known to be highly intelligent and a very social kind of bird that hates being caged. They can live up to even 80 years and captivating them in any way is not just equal but more than torturing these helpless birds.
This organization has the initiative and mission to rescue and protect all types of parrots, even the wild ones. They rescue parrots that are injured or captivated or need a shelter for any reason be it and then give them a nice house where they can live freely. Such a naked cause has been supported by many people and thus as made this non- profit organization run very successfully. This is a tourist hotspot mainly because of the number of rare and colorful parrots that can be found here. They also have exotic flower gardens and a number of butterflies.

Bird Gardens Of Naples Reviews & Ratings
The Bird Gardens of Naples is a wonderful place to visit. Very friendly staff that give a clear and informative visit. Many Macaws, Cockatoos and other birds to visit. Bring unsalted nuts and berries or grapes. The Macaws seem to like unsalted almonds and the Cockatoos seem to like unsalted walnuts. The Purple Hyacinths like both but the one you meet at the front seems to favor almonds. A wonderful visit. This Bird Gardens could be so much more.
This place was awesome. It's all volunteer, donation run, and the tour is 2 hours! You get to interact with birds, hear about various species, and enjoy a nice walk in nature. Make sure to bring salt free nuts (no peanuts - - they are legumes!) to feed the birds.
The Bird Gardens of Naples is a fun and educational non-profit sanctuary for parrots who are abandoned, abused or otherwise surrendered and in need of new home/s. I highly recommend a visit, I promise you won't be disappointed!!
Our family has been coming to Naples for the last several years. I had read about the sanctuary and thought it would be fun for the children to see the birds up close. It was so much more than that! The birds were absolutely gorgeous. Some of them spoke to us too. Kerry is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and great with people and animals. She painted a very clear picture of the different types of birds and their needs. And she was very understanding and caring with the younger children. There were plenty of opportunities to take pictures. We brought raw almonds and had plenty of opportunities to safely feed the birds. It was truly wonderful! We didn’t want to leave!
So many wonderful things to say about this place. The care that Keri gives to the birds is beyond amazing. She is a very special person. People like her who give all of their time to take the best care of the birds are a gift to the world. The birds love her. The place is beautiful and so well taken care of. For anyone who wants to adopt a bird this is the place to go. Or someone who is just interested . You can take amazing pictures as well.
