With three lakes that are surrounded by Japanese gardens adorned by Cherry Blossom trees and colorful flowers, the Naritasan Park is a favorite autumn spot in the city. The Chinese styled Gazebos and small architectural elements that create a striking charm with the lush-green environment, makes for a relaxing sight. Feeding the Koi fishes that have made the ponds their home, is a must!

Take a walk around the park during sunny afternoons to best explore the massive grounds.

Naritasan Park, Narita Reviews - Write a Review

  • It's a large and beautiful garden located behind the main building of the Naritasan Shinshoji Temple. Noteworthy are the flowering trees and shrubs around ponds. Great walking course very popular among the rich nature which includes the plum blossoms of spring and the autumn colors.

  • Beautiful, majestic, and spacious. The best part is, it's not crowded! It's better to experience a Japanese temple here than in Tokyo where there's always a crowd. Start from Omotesando Street and walk towards Naritasan. It's a beautiful walking tour.

  • A wonderful area filled with beauty and calm. It was a great experience, and really helped contrast the bustle and noise that you'll find in the cities. If I lived in the area, this is where I would come to jog or to read a nice book.

  • Natural setting. Quite. Elegant. Magnificent. Historical. Huge place. Good for runner. good place to meditate. Pest free. Beautiful stone structures. Manicured gardens. Many ponds. Gargling streams. Assessable.

  • Great local volunteer guides. Extensive garden and lots of historic buildings. Barrier-free access could be better.
