Naritasan Park - Review

With three lakes that are surrounded by Japanese gardens adorned by Cherry Blossom trees and colorful flowers, the Naritasan Park is a favorite autumn spot in the city. The Chinese styled Gazebos and small architectural elements that create a striking charm with the lush-green environment, makes for a relaxing sight. Feeding the Koi fishes that have made the ponds their home, is a must!

Take a walk around the park during sunny afternoons to best explore the massive grounds.

Naritasan Park, Narita Reviews

  • We went here on our last day in Japan. It was the best decision! It had everything that you needed to see. Beautiful temples and castles. The grounds were gorgeous and there are cherry blossoms every where. There are lots of food options around it, and a little market if you want to buy souvenirs. There were lots of turtles as you walk in as well.

  • Came here on a 9 hour layover at Narita international airport. It was only a 10 minute railway ride here and another 10 minute walk to get there. Pretty simple Absolutely gorgeous, a must see if you have some time near the airport. Totally free to walk around here and there are clean public restrooms. Restaurants all around the entrance as well

  • Amazing grounds and structures. This visit included a dusting of snow to modify the beautiful scenery. There is a ceremony every day at 9:00 AM. Take off your shoes when entering the temple and have a seat either on the floor or on the long bench at the back. One can enjoy and appreciate the ritual no matter what language one speaks. Stroll the extensive grounds that include a lake and hidden waterfalls. Explore the old temple structures. This is an amazing site though if there is snow (very rare) use caution as stairs and pathways are slippery.

  • Great place to spend a beautiful afternoon walk. With tha green landscape and the atmosphere, a plqce need to go for everyone. You could find many good restaurant with a tasty eel. Its a place for soul peace seeker or nature lover. You could pray or just enjoy the nature.

  • Great visit if you have a layover in Narita. Train station to park is a nice walk with lots of vendors. Park itself is beautiful with lots to see.
