Famous for being the highest summit in the Shimla-Narkanda region, Hatu Peak serves as a shelter to a wide range of species of flora and fauna. Known for its dense woods, you will find a number of species of fir and spruce, maple, aspen and cedar trees. Atop the mountain is a temple. Humble and small, this temple is dedicated to Ravana’s wife, Mandodari. It is believed that the Pandav brothers halted here and prepared food too while on their exile.
