Dhosi Hill is a defunct volcano settled at an elevation of 1170 meters above the sea level in the North-west boundary of Aravali mountain range. This hill has been mentioned in ancient Hindu scriptural books like Manusmriti and Mahabharta and herbal Ayurvedic tonic stimulant Chywanprash was also formulated here. One of the major attractions of the site is the vestige of a fort built by King Hemu about 500 years ago. It is a pleasant place for pilgrimage with many sacred temples like Shiv kund, the Chayavana temple, a Rama temple and a Devi temple on the mountain. Dhosi Hill is an excellent place for trekking with caves and gardens.
