Otsuka Museum Of Art Reviews & Ratings
Nice place to visit if you interested in art at one place you see all world famous painting replica made by ceramic.
Though these are reproductions, nonetheless a very comprehensive collection of some of the most well known western master pieces spanning from Roman (Pompeii) till modern (Munch, Klimt, Picasso) times. An excellent opportunity to see beautiful art at (larger than) life size, up close with no crowds. The layout and display are well planned and definitely enhancing the experience. There are good explanations, though often only in Japanese. A two hours tour led by an experienced guide is free, but again only in Japanese. Spending nearly a whole day can be a bit heavy. But the museum restaurant was quite good quality and not expensive.
Good paintings, a replica of famous artist works around the globe. Devoted to ancient civilization and christianity. Worth a visit. Good earphones and speeches which explains each art. Rent is 500 yen. Worth a visit
Recommend to take 1 whole day to look around well, at least half a day ! Well we went there first time around 15:00 ish and a parking lot guy kindly told us to come back the other day because 2 hours were not long enough to look around the whole museum... we were surprised and came back and found out he was right lol Personally i felt half day was not still long enough to explore details slowly lol If you are not interested in Christianity scenery, you may wanna spend your money for something else lol because about half of the works are more or less christianity related . You wanna take break at cafes for coffee / lunch ! Also comfortable shoes would be important ;) The museum is like a tower built in a mountain ... some parts buried half , some parts exposed... on top there is a grassy terrace. It may connect you to somewhere nostalgic ☆*:.｡. o(≧▽≦)o .｡.:*☆
An awesome place for art lovers.
