Ernest Tubb Record Shop Reviews & Ratings
My husband and I were in Nashville today. We met Terry and found a friend! He was so knowledgeable and kind. The store is packed with so much history! He took time to tell us about the history of the Ernest Tubb record store. He talked to us about the country music stars (and other stars) that have performed and just shopped in the store. What a beautiful human he is and what a wonderful piece of history we found today! Do yourself a favor and go, but be sure to ask for Terry!!
Neat that this place is still open, but if you don't like country/bluegrass, you're not going to find much of interest. Still some cool history though.
A great record store! Record stores are hard to find today. Ernest Tubb's is a must visit for Country music fans.
First time visiting Nashville and stopped inside Ernest Tubb's Record Shop and was excited to see the back dedication to the one and only Loretta Lynn. I feel awful for not catching this particular employee's name but he explained the significance of the building for all of country music as well as relating scenes from Coal Miner's Daughter to where it was filmed in the building. So many vinyl records, CDs and even cassettes can be found here. It's also a great spot to escape to if you get overwhelmed by the chaos that is Broadway 😉
Great store with lots of finds. Ask ther Clerk about the Stores History, you won't be disappointed.
