Really cool & unique one-of-a-kind retro-style print shop. The Hatch Show Print has lots of memorable crazy phrases and iconic country singer/band prints for purchase. Although digital media has taken over the world, a handcrafted poster from Hatch Show Print is beyond compare. Country musicians, professionals, and rock stars have all come through their door to create exceptional posters.
It started with William H. Hatch who ran a print shop with his two sons, Charles R. and Herbert H. They grew up and learned the craft of letterpress printmaking. In 1875, William moved his family to Nashville. Four years later, Charles and Herbert founded CR and HH Hatch.
Hatch Show Print suit the demands and mission of design, letterpress printing, and history. It has the following:
- A large print shop where you can watch posters roll off the press.
- A store with wall capacity to present the 100 plus posters which is available for purchase.
- Haley gallery with historic original posters from the Hatch collection.
- Hatch Show Print Space for Design which is a classroom and workshop.

Hatch Show Print Reviews & Ratings
Had the rare and special opportunity to attend the hatch show print block party where we learned about printing and had the opportunity to make our own posters, t-shirts, totes and tea towels. We very much enjoyed this experience and the knowledge of all the staff. They were also kind enough to bring out a block that hadn't been used yet when I said I wished they had skulls and it made my day! 100% recommend this amazing experience!!
We visited TN from FL and this was the only event I chose to book in advance. We bought tickets to the "Block Party" (which lands on the first Saturday of each month during the art crawl). This was really one of the highlights of my trip. We had a little mini history lesson (I could've sat and listened even longer if they let me) before getting to it. The options felt endless, however, we would have really benefited by extending the time at LEAST one more hour. I went home with a couple incomplete projects, but it was still such a fun experience. My husband enjoyed it greatly, as well, and we have since framed our prints. I've told everyone about the prints and the history behind the Hatch Show. I do wish we got a tour with our tickets, even as a voucher to use the following day, as I assumed I'd get to see the old equipment but didn't get to (so make sure to purchase them separately if you want to see that). However, this doesn't take away from the experience as its own entity. I'd even consider paying for smaller group or personal sessions to get to use some type blocks. Thanks for the memory, guys!
Very interesting tour. You should have been allowed to walk through the shop.
I did not pay to go in, however watching from outside was interesting and they have loads of cool prints and books. Definitely worth checking out!
Unique tour. Get to learn about the history, process and famous posters created by the Hatch Print company. First half of the tour is in the printing room, second half is in a classroom/work room. You do get to complete a print to take home (the print is nothing special, but still a cool experience). You get a 10% discount at the shop after your tour (don't forget to ask for the discount).
