Don't let the surrounding construction dissuade you from finding this gem. The service and food were both top notch. My girlfriend and I stopped in for lunch. Everything is made from scratch and American made (sorry no tequila). I had the Nashville hot chicken thigh. It was juicy and full of flavor without being drowned in spice. Our server also made some recommendations based off our plans for the evening. More places could learn from this type of service. You can tell they take pride in what they do.
Was looking for a good place for southern farm to table type food. Came in, restaurant was almost empty, but was told it would be a 2 hour wait for a table. We sat at the bar right away, stools were so uncomfortable. The decorations, and atmosphere were pleasant enough, and the staff was helpful. The menu didn't have much on it, and wasn't exactly what I was in the mood for. I'd say not even close to the southern food, more like someone not from the South's take on southern food. I ordered the pork chop, though good, was nothing impressive. I could have made it at home for a lot cheaper. After being there for almost 2 hours the restaurant was still almost empty. Why was there a two hour wait for a table? I guess the restaurant was trying to seem to be more upscale. Left feeling uncomfortable from the bar stool, and completely unfulfilled.
Very disappointing. We ordered our food and from the beginning started to worry about the service. Drinks didn't come until we asked after 10 minutes where they were. Never received refills and had to ask for more water. Appetizer took 20 minutes to arrive. After nearly an hour, we had to ask where the entree was, only to be told by the waiter that he wasn't sure why it was taking so long. Never received it. Finally canceled order. Still had to pay for the appetizer. Shallow apology from the manager with no real offer to make it right. Would not recommend under any circumstance.
The food was amazing and so was the service! The biscuits and gravy are to die for! The pancakes are full of flavor- the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because 30% of my pancakes were black (burnt). Definitely an excellent place to try for brunch in Nashville!
In a stupor from the god awful cover bands on Broadway in Nashville, I stumbled off the beaten path into this delightful restaurant. I pulled up a seat at the bar and was immediately greeted by a wonderful bartender, oddly named Mo. She showed me the extensive whiskey list and I ordered one of everything. It was so good that I...wait what was I talking about? Anyway, The Simpsons is a great cartoon.
