Saptashrungi Devi Temple - Review

Saptashrungi devi mandir is a site of Hindu pilgrimage in Vani, Nasik. Devotees from around India visit this place in large numbers throughout the year. Also a hill range, the area offers some stunning sights of the landscape that surrounds the temple. The temple administration is now offering online live darshan during the opening hours of the temple. The live streaming is available for free.

The Saptashrungi devi temple forms an important part of the three and a half Shakti Peethas (the seat of the Hindu Goddess) in Nasik. The presiding Goddess of the temple took the form of Durga to slay the buffalo-demon Mahishasura who was giving the Universe a tough time. After that battle, the Goddess settled here – a sanctum has been created which is closed to public viewing in that exact spot.

The Devi is adorned with precious stones and robes which have been donated by devotees as a thanksgiving offering. There are 500 steps leading to the temple with a community hall and a gallery for devotees to queue up found along the way. The Saptashrungi mata temple will soon have the facility to reach the mandir or temple using funicular trolleys ropeways.

Saptashrungi Devi Temple, Nasik Reviews

  • Very divine place with full of positive energy. Almost 500 stairs to reach temple. Rope way is not yet started. It is expected to start from August/sep 2018.

  • Sacred place for all Hindu people as its a temple of Saptashrungi Devi which is also regarded as Goddess of family followed generation after generation in the family tree. This goddess protects family from evil and offers blessings for well-being. Need to climb stairs to reach the temple and all you wishes may come true. Beware of monkeys although they are harmless unless you take them or you have food items which they will snatch.

  • Must visit place. Please take the steps to the top and you will be happy with your decision. Very powerful goddess. Not much people during weekdays and during night time post 7 pm.

  • Its good to visit here. If you are going through your own vehicle you need to be a good driver or make sure take good turns. Parking guys will be the first one you will face once you are on the top. As all have same parking rates make sure you choose a good one. May be after them there must be free parking from temple trust but these people will force you to park in their area only. Not good food options

  • I always visit this place every year and it is very blissful and I feel blessed for the year and so this view is also very feeling there are lots of monkeys are there to safe from those monkeys
