Located close to the Queens staircase of the Fort Fincastle, the Water Tower was constructed in 1928 and is the tallest structure in Nassau- standing tall at a height of 126 feet (around 38 meters)! The tower has 216 steps that form a narrow staircase along its length and although access is not permitted to visitors, you can walk around the site to see its construction and layout.

The tower was built to maintain the pressure of water on the island and is worth stopping by at for a quick picture. Fun fact- during Prohibition period, the tower was used to store bootleg liquor!
