A trip to Natchez would be incomplete without taking a tour of the Historic Natchez Cemetery, a noteworthy place which was established in 1822. Home to some very strange tombstones and graves, this cemetery is a beautiful and peaceful place. Each grave in this cemetery has an interesting story to tell; a tour of this cemetery thus gives you insights into the history, grandeur, and mystery of Natchez. Also, housing lovely sculpted monuments erected in the antebellum era, the Historic Natchez Cemetery has to be on your list of things to do in Natchez.

Historic Natchez Cemetery Reviews & Ratings
A must see when in Natchez. A beautiful, quiet place. Stop by the cemetery office and get a map then enjoy every stop. Amazing stories and beautiful old gravesites will captivate you. The lanes are narrow but we had no trouble maneuvering through. Go check out this historic treasure!
Such a beautiful place to visit. Very well kept and quiet. Definitely a must see while in Natchez.
A very large community cemetery, very well kept in a beautiful setting above the Mississippi River bluff. Quiet. The office located through gate 3 is staffed by very competent friendly and helpful folks. They can help you find and grave site especially if you have the name and decade of death. I hve only visited a couple of times in the last 20 years and it is a timeless place.
We took an audio tour of the cemetery which uses a CD inserted into your cars CD player. The CD guides the visitor throughout the cemetery to numbered locations, giving a brief history of the person buried. It is well narrated and a good way to learn more about the city of Natchez. The cemetery is peaceful and full of history.
