  • This was our first time skiing at a more local mountain spot. They have a new high speed 6 person chairlift that gets you to the top of the mountain pretty quick. They have some nice groomed trails. There is also some good tree riding for the more experienced skier/boarder. Nice terrain park as well. Head up to the Lookout for some nice views.

  • They do a great job with the snow here. The drive up the canyon is beautiful. The food is improving (the coffee is not). The lifts are relaxing and you get to share them with your neighbors. I ski in Summit and Eagle counties a lot and this is not a lesser experience. Check the weather forecast, windy days can be unfun. Update: Coffee has improved a lot. New lift is spacious and speedy.

  • They seem off this year. They are also charging more then other resorts for season passes! This is my last year there, my son is old enough to ski some decent terrain, time to move on. Because honesty the only reason to go to Eldora was an inexpensive way to ski with your young kids. But now inexpensive is no longer part of the equation, they are certainly charging a premium this year. Being closer to town is not worth paying more than Winterpark! Not only that but the time you spend waiting in a line of cars going up the last few miles on the road to Eldora negates the time saved anyhow.

  • I used to take the rtd from Boulder to Eldora after when I was younger. Bus ride was $4 round trip, and lift tickets for night skiing were $7. Those were the days! The skiing was good this time, and lift line waits were short, especially since it was the busiest week of the year. This resort is a great local secret and a quick trip up the canyon. Seemed a little pricey for the location, but outside of that, a great experience.

  • So much fun. It was my first time skiing and I would definitely go back. The staff really take the time to teach you what to do for first timers. Great food a little pricey but good.
