Peachtree Rock Heritage Preserve is an idyllic natural reserve located in South Carolina. It is located near Colombia and is an unperturbed oasis of heritage and nature. It is named after the unusual rock here, which used to stand upright on its tip like an inverted pyramid. In 2013 it topples and now lies on its side. A number of unusual geological formations can be observed here in addition to a diverse flora and fauna. Near the entrance there is a gushing waterfall that ends into a small pool. Head to this place for a rejuvenating getaway.

Peachtree Rock Heritage Preserve Reviews & Ratings

  • Love the natural setting and fresh air! We love bringing our dogs out here and getting away from everything for awhile. Def recommend for people looking for a nice place to take their dogs, since most parks are not dog friendly here downstate.

  • Nice nature walk to the only natural waterfall in the tropical plains of SC. Too bad the rock structure fell. Apparently a storm along with the help of some vandals caused the rock to fall down. The waterfall is worth it if you are passing through but not worth a trip that’s out of your way.

  • Nice. Quiet. Peaceful. Beautiful. Great place to get your cardio. And nice place to take your girlfriend for a picnic, too.

  • Been coming here for over 25 years beautiful place. Preferred the old parking lot and Trail in but the new one is okay. Erosion of the trail and roots makes it where you need to watch your step

  • Beautiful and clean! There is nothing like walking the trails in peachtree, the beauty, the nature, the waterfall and rock formations. Truly a splendid place full of adventure for the outdoors type.
