  • Beautiful and very accessible part of the Nelson lakes national park... some very good doc huts and paid camping grounds in this area... freedom camping not allowed

  • This is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever visited around New Zealand. The scenery is simply stunning and must be seen by all in the upper South Island. The little township has a fuel station and convenience store along with great accommodation options tucked in the bush or on the main road.

  • Pretty neat lodge situated in a perfect location.

  • One of my fave places in the South island. It is a beautiful spot. The water always looks pristine, the ducks are absolutely friendly, the views are breathtaking (especially if looking from the top of the mountains). Overall a cool spot to relax and enjoy with friends and family surrounded by nature.

  • Stunning stop on South Island. With all the mention of sandflies did some research, and was able to avoid any problem.
