A National recreation trail, Sugar River State Trail provides a beautiful window to picturesque meadows, farmlands, hills, prairies, and woods. Stretching for over 22 miles, the trail comes with various picnicking areas and campsites making it the perfect location for natural getaways in New Glarus. Following the pathway of a deserted railroad line, the trail also offers excellent opportunities for snowmobiling, snowshoeing, bicycling, cross-country skiing, and hunting.
