Dat Dog Reviews & Ratings

  • This was an amazing meal! I had the smoked bratwurst, and others in my party had several styles of vegan dogs, including the apple sage (which was so delicious I had several bites of it and didn't even realize it was vegan). The buns they used were also amazingly tasty (though not gluten free, but they do have lettuce wraps or you can get it 'naked'). I also got the WTF tots, which were loaded with flavor. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves tasty sausages, and tots/fries.

  • These were, by FAR, the best hot dogs I ever ate. Original idea, toppings of your joice, utterly delicious. And some good beers too. If you go to NOLA and you're not eating here, you're missing out. Not even joking.

  • Nice casual place to get a decent dog. It was crowded which is always a good sign. Friendly bartender and energetic atmosphere. Surrounding neighborhood is full of music and pedestrians. The streetcar takes you ti within a couple of blocks of the diner.

  • It's very fun. The restaurant itself is bright and colorful and has an entertaining vibe. The menu selections are great, and the food is delicious. Came to try to gator dogs and left more than impressed. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great bite to eat.

  • Try the Rougaru!! It’s amazing! It was my first time trying alligator sausage and I was not disappointed! The restaurant has an urban yet welcoming feel && the service was great as well...I will definitely visit again the next time I’m in New Orleans!
