Beautiful open market. A lot to choose from and the streetcars are close so you can get to the rest of the city without walking too much. Highly recommend the art stand that sells hand-painted works on glass. The artist's name is Megan Barnes and she does beautiful work.
Huge open area with lots of interesting items to browse. Good and drinks available. There were some youngsters playing live jazz across the street while we were shopping. Loved the whole experience!
A fun and busy Open Air Market with lots of great food and some very original artwork and crafts. There are also the typical tourist souvenir places but if you keep your eyes open there are some great deals and local art. Most of the food is good but there are a few franchises there , right on the waterfront so close to everything
Awesome market! So many vendors selling so many different things. There's a front section with food stuffs; from Snow Balls and alligator on a stick you'll find something yummy! The bigger (wider) back has all sorts of people selling stuffs. Many unique things to look at and buy. Very impressive market. We found ourselves here a few times actually.
Streetcar drops you off right in front. The prices are great. And there is no agressive sales techniques. Wish there were more"local" items depicting history and culture. Just standard open market fare. Raw oyster bar was a nice touch. Artists are just down the street near Jackson square. This is a safe fun place to take kids souvenir shopping.
