Frenchmen Art Market, New Orleans Reviews - Write a Review
Beautiful little market tucked quaintly into a large court yard away from the hustle and bustle of Frenchmen St.local artist , great prices .Make sure to check out Restrung Jewelry, jewelry made with donated Instrument strings.A portion of all sales goes to a local musicians charity .All artist are talented and have reasonable prices .
Go a few blocks away at night and you will find true original art pieces. The market looks like what you find in basic gift shops. But there are a few original artist here if you find them.
The open air market was much better; its on st. Anns street. This market was mostly cheap mass produced junk and tees.
I had one of my best New Orleans experiences at the Frenchmen Art Market. My husband and I found the artists very approachable and happy to discuss their work. One photographer spent a long time talking with us when we asked about the subjects in some of his photos - we were so enchanted by his photographs that we bought several. A very laid back, cool vibe where you can browse, ask questions, be curious, and appreciate what the local artist community has to offer.
Fun mix of all different types of artwork for sale. I enjoyed talking to the artists.
