Gordon Biersch Brewery is an American brewery founded by Dan Gordon and Dean Biersch. Gordon, a graduate from the five-year brewing engineering program at Weihenstephan, Germany, and Biersch opened their first brewery restaurant in Palo Alto, California in July 1988. In 1999, the restaurants were sold to what ultimately became CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries. In November 1995, the two founders and their original investors, wanting to expand their then $20-million business, accepted a $11.2 million investment from the Fertitta family of Las Vegas. Lorenzo Fertitta became the controlling owner. As of June 2014 Gordon Biersch brews beer for Costco and Trader Joe's under contract. The Gordon Biersch brewery and bottling plant is located in Japantown in San Jose, California. In 2016 Gordon Biersch released a dry-hopped red ale called "Chum," in honor of the San Jose Sharks.Wikipedia

Fun place that I have been to over the years! Great location and they will even validate your parking garage tickets! The past two times I have been, the service has be great, the food sub par. For the price, I expected more. I ordered the chicken with beer sauce which came with green beans which were practically raw. The chicken was good, but a smaller portion as compared to the sides it was served with. After talking with the others I ate with, we all remarked that the portions were small and the food was bland.
We were completely shocked by the level of service from a chain restaurant! (I'm normally anti-chain, but we were hungry and the restaurant was there). Our server, Josh, was AWESOME! Since we had never been there before, he offered to get us small samples of the beers that he thought we would like (based on a few questions on what kind of beer we normally drank). Food was also really good . i would definitely go back
2 stars for good bar service, value of food and happy hour beer. Great beer taste. -3 stars for failure of management to properly honor a survey coupon code and address my concerns and speak to me to resolve issues. I left unsatisfied, feeling taken advantage of for a few cents store profit, and not valued as a regular customer. I will return but will be visiting another restaurant for Monday dinner.
I rated this restaurant 1 star because I could not rate it any lower. Our waiter Michael was great. The food however, was not. I ordered the chicken, bacon, avocado on flat bread. It was lacking of chicken, bacon and avocado. It was about 12 inches long, quartered, with about a teaspoon of each ingredient on the whole flatbread. I talked to the manager, Heather, whom didn't think it was a problem. She stated that it was proportioned to the companies guidelines. $12. Wasn't worth $2. Also the Crab and artichoke dip was lacking in flavor. Would not recommend at all.
Staff is is nice that is why I give the one star. The wife order a bloody Mary, and was told that it was a Cajun bloody Mary..far from it. She also ordered the Cajun pasta, tomato sauce with no flavor. I ordered a burger medium/well, it was like I said extra well done. Severe let down from the quality I expect from this restaurant
