Holiday Inn New Orleans-downtown Superdome Reviews & Ratings
I recently visited this hotel because our family reunion was held in New Orleans in late July. Everything about this hotel was wonderful, including its central location, the clean accommodations, delicious fare & the welcoming bar+lounge. The pool was refreshing, the art, including the mural featuring jazz musicians, was engaging and the decor, such as the banquet+guest areas, was well-appointed. I also want to commend the personnel, significantly, Karl who helped with our porter needs, and Robert Dixon, the Guest Services Supervisor ... these men and their care for our time in their home, New Orleans, was EXCEPTIONAL!! They were highly personable, informed, giving and truly enjoy their work, which translates to making a guest stay SPECIAL!! #GRATITUDEtoALL
The good: 10 minute walk from French quarter. Beds are comfortable. Views are urban. Staff is friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Water pressure in shower is good. Everything is clean. Free wifi. The bad: our air conditioner wasn't efficient enough to keep the room really cold. It was also too loud to hear the TV. The room had a musty odor when walking in. The bar ran out of some booze. (my large group drinks a lot). I'd probably stay here again. Although next time I'd ask for a different room if the AC was wonky
Great hotel. The pool area is really nice and we actually got rooms that are on the same level as the pool. So if I want to go swimming I just need to open the door and go for a quick swim. Everyone was really nice.
My family and I visited this hotel on June 9, 2019 and we checked out June 11, 2019 around 10:20am, my parents had a king room, and my siblings and I had a 2 queen double room.... my parents discovered a spider and the web In the ceiling of there room. Over all the rooms very very dusty and it was dusty all around the beds, tables, night stands, and ceiling. The beds were very comfy and made correctly, but the sheets didn’t smell clean at all. They didn’t leave enough towels or toilet tissue in our bathroom. We had to call downstairs for maintenance because the sink was stopped up the very first day we checked in, but they didn’t come to the next day to unstop it. The toilet was bagged up and wasn’t flushing properly they sent the first maintenance guy he didn’t fix it so we had to call back downstairs they sent the second maintenance guy he also didn’t fix it. We were stuck in a room an entire day with a none working toilet so we had to use our parents bathroom. So late that night they moved us to another room after 9pm. They over charged my mother card for parking in the garage when my sister paid cash for parking for the second day of us being there. They haven’t fixed the issue yet my mother and I have been calling leaving messages, but we have yet gotten a call back.
It's the best! Very helpful & nice staff! Rooms are amazing... Very clean! And the outside swimming pool is very beautiful
