Best happy hour I've been to in a long, long time, and I get around. Service, quality and value were top notch. The manager walked up to us, unsolicited, and offered my girlfriend a sweater because she said she looked cold. Very kind. Skip the tourist traps and head here for 50 cent oysters, half priced drinks, and food specials at their everyday happy hour. Note that its in a hotel restaurant and the atmosphere is a little upscale so you may feel out of place in flip-flops and a tank top.
Everything about this restaurant was great, right down to the coffee! It was brewed with the drip method and fresh Nicaraguan beans. As an appetizer, we ate the stuffed oysters and a cup of seafood gumbo; both were very fresh and full of flavor. As a meal, I got the soft shell crab BLT, and that was equally as delicious as the appetizer. As a dessert, the waitress brought us a bread pudding as it was someones birthday. Most amazing, mouth watering dessert I've ever had! The portions are large and definitely worth the money. Will be back if I'm in New Orleans again.
One of the best restaurants in New Orleans. We almost didn't come in because of how busy it was. That would've been the biggest mistake of our trip! So glad we did. We sat at the bar and had 2 unbeleivable bar tenders. I wish I could remember the bar tenders names. One was a broader African American Guy and the other was a skinny African American guy. Service was the true service from the south! Thank you guys!
The menu is a bit limited but as are most places in New Orleans. However, our group of 4 all got something different and everyone loves their meal. The crispy Brussels sprouts are a must. They were delicious. The stuffed oysters were amazing as well. I didn't try the cheeseburger but it was enormous and looked delicious.
Yes- all the way around. If your looking for easy seafood in a elegant setting, Lüke is the place for you. I have had a lot of food here in NOLA, and Lüke just provides that level of comfort that is reminiscent of grandmas.
