Nice people worth a look for pamphlets
Had a great overall experience with this tour. I decided to catch a tour during my 6 hour layover. I was running 3 minutes late and my tour guide made sure to wait on me and was very flexible which was surprising for a walking tour. We even got poured down rain within 20 minutes of starting the tour. Our tour guide gave the option to leave and get a full refund but I decided to stay and she continued the tour. Lots of great information on the history of the graveyard and who is there currently. I’d definitely use this tour again if I went back. The proceeds go to restoration efforts and preserving it and I think that’s important.
Weird toir only sick people enjoy this ?
Awesome guided history tour through St. Louis cemetery 1 and your ticket purchase goes to a wonderful non profit that protects this cultural landmark. Martha was our tour guide and did an awesome job. I loved that the meeting spot is a coffee shop with cold drinks and restrooms. It was so cool, my kids really enjoyed it too!! Highly recommend!!
Save Our Cemeteries provided a great tour. Our guide, Emma, was personable, accommodating, and polite. The meeting place was easy to find and had bathrooms and a water fountain. I appreciated that Emma kept the tour more fact-based and less thrill-based; she was very clear when she mentioned speculative or rumored information. She had also done a considerable amount of research in her own time! The tour gave a nice overview of New Orleans history along with cemetery-specific history. It was hot! Follow their suggestions to wear sunscreen and carry water!
