  • I'm a tour guide for Lucky Bean tours and when we do our tours we go through this location to try their pralines and sometimes my guests buy items. They have always been my personal favorite candy store in New Orleans. Been going to their first location for decades. I really appreciate their hospitality and products. Their pralines are amazing and currently they are making lemon pralines that are to die for! It's a great stop for my tours! Thank you!

  • Brianna is the sweetest - I took my daughter to Southern Candymakers for some birthday ice cream. Brianna noticed that it was my daughters birthday by the money pinned to her shirt, and gave her a sweet treat for a birthday present. Thanks Brianna for doing such a sweet thing for a little girls 8th birthday! By the way, the pralines are the best in town; I know because in my 40+ years of living in the city and SE La., I've had just about every one made. The ice cream is delicious too!

  • Stopped in with friend, "just to look". The two guys working were really sweet and friendly, offering us samples of the pralines. I never actually knew what they were, so I was in for a pleasant surprise! The guys gave me a brief history/method of creation/pronunciation lesson. They were super yummy and I ended up leaving with pralines and some bark. We all left happy with our purchases, thank goodness they knew before we did that we needed some candies. Lol.

  • Awesome pralines and they have Blue Bell ice cream.

  • The stores sign says “best pralines” and I don’t know much about pralines but I would say that in fact they are the best! Delicious! We tried coconut, sweet potato, chocolate, and some other pralines and they were all delicious! We even took some home.
