St. Roch Market, New Orleans Reviews - Write a Review
Pretty nice place if you're in the neighborhood. It's indoors (with outdoor seating optional) and a great place to stop by and grab a bite from a local vendor. It's like a big food court with lots of pretty awesome chefs with a ton to choose from. Stop on in here if you're not sure what you're in the mood for and you'll definitely find something. Also right across the street is a grocery coop for more options.
Great place to go with people with different tastes and appetites. It is kind of like a food court made up of small locally owned startup businesses. Everyone can get what they want. Atmosphere is bright and lively. Beautifully restored public market.
What can I say the food selection here is amazing. Every dish I have gotten whether it be Mexican, Vietnamese, or soul has blown me away. It also has an excellent selection of drinks, sweets, and coffee. You will not be disappointed.
As a local, I try to avoid the hipster's "inventive" take on creole and cajun cuisine. However, I occasionally go to St. Roch Market when I am looking for a food court atmosphere. I love the historical building and I appreciate the variety of foods. I do miss the original bakery that sold the homemade cake by the slice.
This was my first dinner in Nola and was not disappointed. There's so many vendors to try! Empanadas were tasty as well as the shrimp and grits at the southern place. Great place for quick and tasty meal!
