The Camellia Grill Reviews & Ratings
This place is awesome. Great diner food and with great atmosphere. Its a small place but the food is served hot and fresh. Very comfortable vibe where you find a mix of local regulars and visitors. You will be hard pressed to find another gem like this.
We wanted to have a good breakfast before our road trip home and went to Anita’s on a recommendation but they were closed. So I search Yelp for other options and decided on Camellia’s. What a VERY PLEASANT surprise! The “Waffle House” look and feel almost threw me off. But the warm greeting of the staff influenced our decision to stay. The seating is limited, but luckily there was no wait when we arrived (about 2:30pm on a Monday). We ordered omelets, pancakes and waffles. They were all AMAZING! One omelet is more than enough for two people to share. Reasonable prices gives this experience a 5. This diner has been added to my MUST VISIT list on future trips to NoLA.
Nice quaint diner with wonderful staff. We stopped in for bacon cheeseburgers and cheese fries. Cool counter seating, no tables or booths. We'll definitely return to try the all day breakfast options.
The best waffles and pork link sausage I have EVER had. The liquid butter makes a great waffle, SUPERB. Love the old school feel of sitting at the counter and how our waiter called out our orders to the short order cook. It felt so nostalgic. Get their early, it's a big local/tourist spot.
A favorite when I was a student at Tulane, nice to be back after a few decades. The menu is basic but it's good food at great prices. Very hospitable staff, too!
