About Voodoo Lounge, New Orleans

Voodoo Lounge is the 20th British and 22nd American studio album by British rock band The Rolling Stones, released in July 1994. As their first new release under their new alliance with Virgin Records, it ended a five-year gap since their last studio album, Steel Wheels in 1989. Voodoo Lounge is also the band's first album without long-time bassist Bill Wyman. He left the band in early 1991, though the Stones did not formally announce the departure until 1993. In 2009, the album was remastered and reissued by Universal Music. This album was released as a double album on vinyl and a single CD and cassette.

  • Loved it. Started my walking music your there on a Sunday afternoon. Got there early so I had a couple drinks. Bartender was awesome. Great stories. After the tour stopped went back in there for a few more. Different bartender this time but just as funny and entertaining as earlier in the day. Spent a couple hours there drinking and shooting the bull with whoever came in. Yes it's a "dive" bar but it's My kindof dive bar. Real people having a good time. Highly recommend this place

  • Great hole in the wall in the French Quarter. Old school record player and friendly service. Well worth the visit!

  • Great Moscow Mule the other night. Double of course. Bartender nicely offered to call a taxi for me when I was ready to go.

  • Open 24 hours, friendly staff, comfortable place, excellent selection of booze. One of my favorite bars in New Orleans.

  • Great staff, good local (less touristy) atmosphere. Good drink prices, for NOLA that is.
