Voodoo Lounge, New Orleans Reviews
We had a tremendous time at this local bar. They had a huge selection of alcohol so you could have any drink you wanted or some you could not even think of ordering or even asking for. The bartender was extraordinary and service was wonderful. There were several areas to sit so conversation with others was easy and enjoyable. There were games and books to encourage fun times. If you happen to be in the neighborhood with your best pal, 4 legged of course, he/she is welcome as well. There is bowl of water at the door and milk bones behind the counter. You can also meet here to take a Ghost tour of New Orleans. I didn't go, I was having too much fun.
So I have been coming to this bar for years. And have never had a problem. I’ve spent many drunken nights here. Now, in the present, I do not drink but like to go and see old friends and hang out. I was out early morning with said friends having a good time. Friend of mine was Bartending and purchased a soda from him and gambled away $20+ in this bar. I left to retrieve my bike from home and returned right before shift change. After 20 min sitting st the bar drinking my cup of water I’m asked to leave or buy a drink. So because I don’t drink and spent my money just an hour or two prior I was forced to leave. Embarrassed and upset.
Its open 24hours a day...I mean it never closes, they do haunted history walking tours along with walking tours about the Treme and various other things about New Orleans. Finally you have some of the most eclectic staff you'll ever come across. The bartenders are very personable and at the same time they say or will do the most funniest things I have ever seen or heard. Its Never a dull moment at the Voodoo Lounge
Tiny, quaint bar. Strong drinks! Same place where you make reservations for tours. We had Erin and she was fantastic! Four of us purchased the vampire and haunted tour. Didn't disappoint. Wasn't too long or short, great timing. Erin was extremely personable and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
This was by far my favorite bar in NOLA. Books line the window ledge and there are cool posters and art on the walls. The bartender was one of my favorites ever and it has a great vibe for tourists and locals. I can't wait to go back. 24/7 bar that also takes cards and has a water bowl for the pups. Be sure to check it out!
