The Washington Square Park was developed by the Marigny and Mandeville families in the early 1800s and since then has been the meeting place for many events in the city. The beautiful trees and shaded pathways make for the perfect place for open-air music concerts while the locals love to walk their dogs here or simply visit the place to soak up the sun.
The art markets, concerts and annual festival held here are the highlight of the place.

Washington Square Reviews & Ratings
We were there only a short while, but the picture I'm seeing as part of this review is outdated. The playground has a very new, very modern aesthetic now. The kids loved it and wanted to stay longer, but we found it very close to closing time.
This is a small park that is great for just sitting and just enjoy some quiet alone time or just letting your kids run around and play
Beautiful park close to the French Quarter but several homeless people sleeping there during the day.
Not somewhere I'd feel comfortable bringing my children.
A well kept park cleaned daily currently with some construction. Beautiful weather today. Slight breeze. A very nice place to start the day.
