Andrews Coffee Shop, New York City Reviews - Write a Review
We were attempting to go to another place, but the wait was too long. We almost passed by this place, but a family exiting told us the wait was not as long as it looked. We had a stroller which made it a bit tight but everyone was helpful and accommodating. We were seated quickly and had a wonderful waitress who offered whipped cream on top of 7 year old's chocolate milk. Food was great especially good reviews for the ham and cheese omelet and potatoes. Sausage and bacon were perfect. Very busy but all staff was friendly and helpful.
They were the best! Great food and prices to match! We had breakfast and supper here. Breakfast was under $20 and supper was like $25. The place looked recently renovated and they have a friendly staff. I will definitely be back.
We went legitimately only for the ambiance. it was exactly what it should be for a new york diner... but they do have to push you through. We were glad to get there before nine on a Monday to get started. Portions on other tables looked large, for us we stuck to small fare - typical corn muffin but a good cup of black coffee. Understated is something I appreciate.
The food was average. The place had a factory feel when I walked in. The host was without personality. The server was pleasant and you could tell she didn’t approve of the tactics of her coworkers. I was watching the host standing with one group before the current table’s occupants stood up. At the end of our meal, I stood up to put coats on the kids and a bus boy was (without exaggeration) pushing us out of the way to clean off the table. If you are going to provide a bad experience, you better have an outstanding product (they didn’t).
My friend and I took a day trip to NYC from North Carolina! This was our first stop! Breakfast!! It was absolutely delicious! I ordered the fried eggs, with bacon and it came with fried potatoes and this amazing toast! My friend ordered the Mexican omelet, which also came with fried potatoes and toast. Everything was cooked perfectly! The service was great! Our waitress was super sweet and very attentive! The coffee was really good! Definitely a wonderful overall experience! If I could give them 10 stars I would!
