Brick Lane Curry House is perhaps the best destination to satiate your cravings for Indian food. The one located in Upper East Side is slightly sophisticated and has a lovely sit-down arrangement. On the other hand, the one situated in Mid-town is slightly more humble and the sitting is comparatively smaller. Known for gravies ranging from simply delicious to excruciatingly spicy, this place is a must try when you are bored of the usual non- spicy food. You can choose to visit the mid-town Brick Lane Curry house and if you are up for it, take the challenges which are constantly on there and go up on their wall of fame. Brick Lane Curry House Reviews & Ratings
A small location but an excellent spot none the less. The food is very good. Spicy is an understatement when you request food to be spicy. Servings are plentiful and the staff are attentive and friendly.
This is my go-to for Friday brunches. They have good Indian food. Great choices and good portions. Their lunch special is plentiful with unlimited supply of rice and naan. The only reason I give this place a 4 star is because of the cleanliness. The tables are ALWAYS sticky. I hate to put my hands down on a table and feel resistance when I pull back. It's like the table wants you there. Jokes aside, yes the tables are always sticky. The utensils look beat up (although clean), like they have been used and reused for 20 years. The place has a bit of a stale smell. Maybe if they aired it out more and cleaned it up better this place could be more attractive. Maybe that's the theme? Not sure.
Just went for dinner with our family. Great experience, friendly staff. Casual atmosphere, and you can ask lots of questions about the various curries with easy-going waiters. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area or visiting and looking for curry/Indian for dinner.
Excellent lunch special, tons of tasty food. If something isn't spicy enough for you you can ask them to bring some hot sauce on the side, which is great
Yummy Indian food, and great place for your better than average curry fix. Not stroller friendly, you'll have to lift it up a small set of stairs if you have one with you.
