Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee Company Reviews & Ratings
I've always liked bagels, but the first time I came here was when I truly realized how good a bagel could be. The cream cheese selection is vast, and they always have a flavor of the week to make it even more interesting. I've encountered some people in my life who tried to tell me they weren't into bagels, and this place brought them to their knees. An everything bagel, toasted, with bacon/scallion cream cheese from this place will change your life.
This 30th Ave location has gone downhill. I used to like coming here. I heard it’s under new management. They have good bagels and a nice selection of cream cheese, that’s about it. It’s 1 star for service and price. $10 for an egg and spinach on a mini bagel with ice coffee. They charged $1.50 extra for a piece of spinach. I questioned it and they just shrugged it off. The service is also very slow at times. You can do so much better at other nearby bagel places for a fraction of the price and with really good food and service.
The bagel and the egg was awesome, but if you care about the environment, you would feel bad with all the packaging. I told the lady that I'd be eating there still she put each item in a paper bag and all paper bags in a plastic bag. They should find a better solution for eating in.
The salmon and avocado bagel I had was delicious. All of the other spreads looked really good too. The orange juice was good but I don't like that they essentially make you pay for the $5 "medium" cup because the "small" one is tiny like a shot glass.
This place is amazing. Whoever gave it 1 star doesn't have a soul. It literally is the best if not one of the best bagels I have ever had in my life. I had the breakfast sandwich with an everything bagel, jalapeno cream cheese, egg and sausage. It was a massive mess of a bagel but it was eating heaven. My wife who got a plain-ish bagel with cream cheese took one bite of mine and ate half of my bagel sandwich. It is amazing. I know there are like rainbow bagel shops in NYC and all that other jazz but this gem in Astoria and a few other places is unreal. It is out of this world. Will be the best 6 dollars you spend in NYC.
