The bridge is one of the most famous and magnificent landmarks in New York. It connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. This is one of the greatest engineering feats of the 19th century.
The impressive bridge spans the east river between Brooklyn and Manhattan and stretches for a length of 5989 ft, about 1.8 km. The span between the large towers measures 1595.5 ft (486 meters). This made the Brooklyn Bridge one of the world's largest suspension bridges.
The two masonry towers, which the many cables are attached, are the most noticeable feature of the Bridge. It also offers a great view of the bridge's towers. For visitors, it is one of the best and convenient places to visit in New York. It would take a few minutes from the center of the city to reach the place.
An elevated pedestrian path not only gives you the opportunity to cross the river without being bothered by the traffic that rushes past a level below, but it also offers a great view of the bridge's towers as well as downtown Manhattan's skyline. The views alone attract millions of visitors to this bridge each year. Brooklyn Bridge is one of the tourist attractions in New York City Itinerary 3 days and 7 days in NYC trip plan. Though this is a high traffic bridge with many people, it is totally worth the trip. Be mindful of bikers on the path. Great place to get to know other people. Stop by every so often and observe the surroundings. You can see many places from this bridge. One of my interesting things to do is to take some time and look at the age of the steel and ropes of the old bridge. Looking at the bridge structure you can really see the power of the bridge. About halfway through the bridge on the south side you can see the statute of liberty. Great scenery for pictures and videos. This would be and ideal location for wedding photography, or proposals. I’d like to bring your attention to the mid half of the bridge. The area that exposes almost every side of the city. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
it is very hard to say anything in words that will bring Justice to the Experience on the Brooklyn Bridge. I highly recommend if you are physically able to walk the Brooklyn Bridge for an experience like no other. While you doing that stop to appreciate the beauty of the city behind and take a lot of pictures.
What a Wonderful Experience. You might think it's a Long walk, but before you know it, you're in the other side. A real Must. Lot's of people so be prepared. Take time to enjoy the Views!!! Enjoy!
Great place to come and explore when I'm feeling touristy. Its lovely and the view is great but definitely not for those who are bothered by big crowds - if that's not your thing come explore during the week rather than the weekends!
Iconic and beautiful place. Watch the sunrise from the bridge on summer is something priceless. Is a crowded place, but go late at night or really early in the morning worth it for the pictures and the experience of having the whole bridge for you to enjoy. I walked from NY to Brooklyn across the Brooklyn Bridge and returned across the Manhattan Bridge. Nice experience (Photos: July2018)
