You take a short walk from Hudson River and you will come across a block wide and block long area, which is known as the Meatpacking District. In fifteen years, Chelsea Market has become one of the greatest indoor food halls across the world. Chelsea consists of more than thirty vendors offering everything from coffee to wine, cheesecake to cheese. Nuts to soups and a lot of things you need to satisfy that hunger. When it comes to being a tourist destination in New York, this attracts around 6 million visitors annually consisting of nationals, locals and international citizens. The best part is that even though it is a very local market in its make in terms of being a neighborhood market but it has a global perspective by and large. So this is evidently a place for foodies but even for causal tourists who would like to just explore a place. Once you enter in the morning, you are sure to come out in the afternoon- and with no hunger at all.

Chelsea Market Reviews & Ratings
Tons of fun shops/restaurants inside the market! The environment is busy and fun. Everything here is CLEAN. Which is refreshing. There is enough to do here that you could be here all day shopping and looking around. Everything is very reasonably priced as well, including the food. It is right by the High-Line as well, which is a must see if you are in the area!
Best place for Tacos so far in NYC. When they started each taco was in two tortillas. now it is only one tortilla for each taco. Real Mexican tacos come in two tortillas. It is crowded but the line advance quickly. They should update the menu in the wall, not all the options are displayed.
Best market I’ve been to. Very cool stands, stores, food, art, variety of stores and things for all kinds of people of all ages. Definitely a nice way to spend a day in the city around these area, you’ll not get bored around here. Be ready to shop around :-)
This place is a must see if you’re a foodie. My partner and I visited and spent a few hours here. There are tonnes of places to grab a coffee and a wide variety of food places, from tacos to deli sandwiches, it really was amazing. There are quite a few independent shops there as well, so whilst you’re taking a break from the treats you can find some really cool and interesting stuff. Also a tip, once finished, you can walk to the high line walk as it starts not far from the market!
It is the heaven for Foodies. It is ranked as one of Top 100 places must visit. Los Taco is my favorite. It is hot & fresh. Price reasonable. Steak, Chicken & Pork are all great. Strongly recommend
